Personal training at DC Bouldering Project is an individualized, hands-on 1:1 fitness experience tailored to your specific fitness goals. Our personal trainers work with you to learn about your goals, develop a training plan, and guide you to optimize your health and wellness. Whether you have rigid fitness goals or simply want to get stronger and healthier, we’ve got a trainer and a program for you, no matter your experience level.

Tyler Brent Yoga and Fitness Manager at DC Bouldering Project

Tyler Brent

Tyler (she/her) is a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT), a group fitness instructor as well as a 200-E-RYT yoga instructor with over 1,500 teaching hours under her belt. She’s been teaching yoga and fitness since 2017 and falls in love with instructing more each day. Tyler is DC Bouldering Project’s Yoga & Fitness Manager so you can almost always find her taking classes, teaching classes, and climbing. When Tyler isn’t at the gym, she’s probably singing Taylor Swift to her cat, reading in the sun, and/or mobilizing her community around what she’s passionate about – from social justice to karaoke to finding the best ramen in the DMV.

Coach Byrd

Coach Byrd hails from Raleigh North Carolina and in 2013 enlisted as a machine Gunner in the United States Marine Corp. He became a veteran and father in 2017 to Maxwell. Coach Byrd is new to the DMV and has a passion to be one of the best coaches in the 202. He has led and trained over 80 Marines as well as other armed forces. “5AM PT is when the work gets done and the Marines run.” Utilizing his experience and training as a Marine Coach Byrd hopes to excite, motivate and inspire others to push past their limitations. Byrd leads from the front and believes that when we adapt we can overcome many obstacles.

Benji Weiner

Benji is a DC native and ACE-certified personal trainer specializing in functional fitness and sports performance since 2017. Known for his dynamic approach, he helps clients build strength, stability, and confidence to take on life’s challenges. A coffee lover and photography enthusiast, Benji also draws on his background in performance to keep sessions light and fun. When he’s not coaching, you’ll find him exploring local spots, with his dogs, or capturing the city through his lens! Ready to start your fitness journey?
