Community Arts Program

ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY ARTS PROGRAM

MBP is designed to be a welcoming space that forges a vibrant community centered around health, friendship, and purpose.

Our MBP Community Arts Program was created to amplify the artistic expression of our community members. We believe that fresh, community-generated art breathes life into our facility and inspires a more meaningful and thoughtful experience for our members and guests.

If you are interested in showing with us, please review our submission requirements below. If accepted, we will work with you to curate a selection of pieces to be displayed at MBP for one month.

CONTENT CRITERIA

MBP is an inclusive and family-friendly facility. We won’t accept work containing nudity, profanity, or inflammatory political content, and will make decisions on artist submissions based on our values.

RESUME

In your resume, please focus on your experience showing your work. Whether you’ve had your work in galleries, coffee shops, or if this is the first time showing it publicly, let us know how you’ve put your art into the world in the past. Please limit this to a one-page PDF.

PORTFOLIO

We want to see what you are excited about to show to our community. There are two areas where we can hang your work, the main hallway holding 10-15 pieces (depending on size), and the mezzanine holding 5-8 pieces (depending on size). Please let us know how many pieces you would like to show. We will ultimately decide where each piece will be hung. Please submit photos of your work in PDF format compiled into one document.

ARTIST STATEMENT

We are looking for what makes your work unique, intriguing, and meaningful. Please limit the length of your artist statement submission to a one page PDF. Including a photo of yourself in this document is optional.
