School Holiday Programs

No School? No Problem.

Adventure Days at Austin Bouldering Project are an active and fun way to spend your day off school. ABP Camps are geared towards youth ages 4 to 14 and offer tons of climbing and social time!

Whether your child is an experienced climber or brand new to bouldering, they will have a blast with our instructors leading the way. Kids will learn new aspects of climbing, connect with new friends, and gain confidence on the wall.

Adventure Days 2025

Adventure Days run from 9:00am to 3:00pm on school holidays. Adventure Days are offered towards youth ages 4 to 14.

During our rock climbing Adventure Days, kids will spend time learning how to climb in our kids’ room and main bouldering areas, playing games, doing crafts, and more!

Campers are split into grade level groups. We provide climbing shoes and required program materials.

“What we love the most about Bouldering Project is the incredibly warm and inclusive environment that has been established by the whole team. The teachers and staff are attentive and caring, and make an effort to get to know each child well—through a thorough and thoughtful intake process as well as their daily regular interactions. Our son has grown as a climber and is excited to work on developing stronger climbing skills under the guidance of his teachers. But the climbing is only one part of what we love, the other part is the feeling of being connected to a wonderful community who encourage and support each others growth.” – Rowan S.

Emma absolutely loves being at Bouldering Project—climbing is her happy place, and nothing would ever stop her from going. She wakes up excited on Adventure Days and comes home beaming, full of stories about new routes, games, and friends.

Youth Rules and Expectations

Climbing is an exciting and fun sport—but it does come with risks. We insist on highly-attentive adult supervision to mitigate these risks for youth and other climbers. Before climbing with us, please read through our Rules and Expectations.

  1. Youth under the age of 14 must be closely accompanied by an adult at all times.
  2.  Our supervision ratio is 2 to 1; up to 2 youth climbers can be supervised by 1 adult chaperone at a time.
  3. Stay far from the walls and out of fall zones when moving through the gym or waiting to climb. A “fall zone” is anywhere on the mats where a climber could land if they were to fall.
  4. Make sure to check where a route ends before starting to climb–some routes are close together or even overlap, and you don’t want to end up directly above, below, or next to another climber.
  5. This is a climbing gym! Please save running, wrestling, horseplay, and gymnastics for other spaces.
  6. Youth ages 13 and under are not allowed in our fitness and yoga spaces or classes. Youth 14-17 must have an adult age 18+ supervising to use our fitness and yoga spaces or attend a class.

Due to programming, the youth room is unavailable on certain days and times each week. When not in use for programming, the Youth Room is open and available for you to enjoy! To stay in the know, give us a call before stopping by!

Have questions about climbing, the facility, or risk? Ask our staff—we are here to help.
