COMMON GROUND WOMEN & NON-BINARY CLIMBING FESTIVAL

Join us for Common Ground – Washington’s biggest women and non-binary community climbing festival! 2 Sessions, 125 spots available each, raffle prizes & afterparty. All skill levels are encouraged to participate!

Common Ground takes place at our Poplar location | 900 Poplar Pl S, Seattle, WA

COMMUNITY COMP

Competition Format:

  • Redpoint-style competition
  • 40 boulder problems set by an all women and/or non-binary routesetting crew
  • Unlimited attempts within your 3 hr session
  • Peer-scored signed by witness

Categories:

  • Recreational: Yellow – Green
  • Intermediate: Purple – Black
  • Advanced: Black – Pink
  • Open: Blue+

AFTERPARTY & COSTUME COMPETITION

Celebrate with us from 6–8 PM in West Wall Café + Bar featuring raffle prizes, happy hour, music, and awards. Costumes are encouraged but optional — this year’s theme is Western. Think cowgirl/cow-them hats, jorts, overalls, bandanas, western-inspired makeup, and climbing-friendly accessories.

Costume awards include:

  • Spirit Award
  • Most Creative
  • Baddest in the West

EVENT SCHEDULE

Session 1: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Check-in begins at 10:15 AM

Session 2: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Check-in begins at 2:15 PM

Afterparty: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Costumes & awards announced at 6:45 PM

Designed to exclusively celebrate women and non-binary climbers of all ages and experience levels — whether you’re a beginner climber looking for community or a seasoned pro. This is a supportive, inclusive environment designed to build confidence, community, and connection. And one of our favorite events of the year!
