Camps & Adventure Days

a fun environment for youth to build climbing skills & confidence

Geared for school-aged youth, our camps and adventure programs offer plenty of climbing and social time for kids of all experience levels. We design our curriculum to reduce stress, ease the intimidation of heights and falling, and make climbing approachable in a fun and supportive way. We also stress to our students that the goal is not to be the best climbers in the world—the goal is to love climbing and love doing it with one another.

Please note that demand for our youth programs and camps often exceeds the number of available spots and sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Camps

Camp at Bouldering Project offers plenty of climbing and social time. Whether your child is an experienced climber or brand new to bouldering, they will have a blast with our instructors leading the way. We provide instruction, climbing shoes, STEAM Activitites, and other program materials.

Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring break camps all available with full-day or half-day options. Spaces are limited, so sign up early to guarantee a spot!

Adventure Days

Adventure Days are here when your child has a day off from school! We format these the same way as we do our Camp days with full-day or half-day options available.

Youth Rules and Expectations

Climbing is an exciting and fun sport—but it does come with risks. We insist on highly-attentive adult supervision to mitigate these risks for youth and other climbers. Before climbing with us, please read through our Rules and Expectations.

  1. Youth under the age of 14 must be closely accompanied by an adult at all times.
  2.  Our supervision ratio is 2 to 1; up to 2 youth climbers can be supervised by 1 adult chaperone at a time.
  3. Stay far from the walls and out of fall zones when moving through the gym or waiting to climb. A “fall zone” is anywhere on the mats where a climber could land if they were to fall.
  4. Make sure to check where a route ends before starting to climb–some routes are close together or even overlap, and you don’t want to end up directly above, below, or next to another climber.
  5. This is a climbing gym! Please save running, wrestling, horseplay, and gymnastics for other spaces.

Have questions about climbing, the facility, or risk? Ask our staff—we are here to help.
