BOULDERFEST COMP CLINIC SERIES
Join Our Competition Clinics for Boulderfest
This October, we’re offering 4 clinics to prepare first time competitors and competition champs alike. These clinics can be taken individually, or sign up for all 4 and take them as a series to feel well-rounded and prepared for Boulderfest. Clinics will include:
Introduction to Competition taught by Tyler Williams on October 9th
Finding Footwork With Confidence taught by Cole Sherwin on October 16th
Dynamic Movement for Comp Climbing taught by World Cup Athlete Simon Hibbler on October 23rd
Competition Strategy and Process taught by Isabelle Shoemaker on October 30th
Note: Minimum of 5 attendees per session
Introduction to Competition
October 9th | Led by MBP Head Coach Tyler Williams, in this clinic you will learn:
• How to have an enjoyable first competition
• Basic competition strategy
• Explore Mock Boulderfest scenarios

Finding Footwork with Confidence
October 16th | In this clinic, you’ll cover the basics of footwork with Cole Sherwin. You’ll practice:
• Getting the best out of bad feet
• Advanced footwork drills for a variety of boulder types
• Get comfortable with time-constrained decision making

Dynamic Movement for Comp Climbing
October 23rd | World Cup Climber, National Competitor, and MBP Coach Simon Hibbler is known for his dynamic movement on the wall. In this clinic Simon will walk you through:
• Gaining familiarity with modern competition-style movement
• Tactics to get the most out of your attempts
• Practice drills on staple coordination moves you see in most competitions

Competition Strategy & Process
October 30th | Assistant Head Coach for Team MBP Isabelle Shoemaker will guide you through the basics of competition strategy and process. In this clinic you’ll learn:
• How to approach a Redpoint Round efficiently
• Using a repeatable off-the-wall process to get the most out of each attempt
• How to analyze your falls and successes in a helpful way
